Position:Network Engineer (Secrete Security Clearance)

Position description:

Seeking a Network Engineer with Secret Security Clearance and CCIE. Must Specializing in Routing Switching.

Network Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide on-site professional network engineering and architecture services and to maintain and implement all necessary changes required to maintain a secure and reliable network. The SME shall be responsible for assisting with the Data Center relocation effort and sustainment after the move to the Defense Information Service Agency,
Defense Enterprise Computer Center, support of key Department of Defense
Office of the Inspector General(DoD, OIG) applications such as Defense Criminal Activity Tracking System Enterprise (DCATSe), Case Reporting Information Management System (CRIMS) and Data Analytics. Assisting with the design and deployment of 802.1x and IPv6, as well as assisting in daily tasks in regards to the DoD OIG network and infrastructure.

The network engineer shall work with Enterprise Architect, and network engineers to develop a comprehensive and successful enterprise architecture design, migration, and implementation plan. Provide assessments and analyze the network environment/architecture, make recommendations, and implement changes. Responsible for design, staging, configuration, implementation, security, and support for all network related equipment. Design and implement network architecture, equipment, and software in accordance with DISA security STIGs. Responsible for ensuring the network remains operational during migration with minimal downtime. Migration should be as seamless and transparent as possible. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any network related problems. Responsible for all operations and maintenance of network systems

Task 1. Engineer, design, install, configure, and optimize IT network systems.
Task 2. Provide system and engineering support for documented and approved projects and tasks.
Task 3. Ensure all engineered solutions are in compliance with DISA STIGs and OIG standards.
Task 4. Ensure engineered solutions are designed to maintain highest availability and service dependability.
Task 5. Develop and maintain documentation which will include but is not limited to Standard Operating Procedures and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams adhering to organizational templates, policies, and standards.
Task 6. Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation.
Task 7. Support the OIG Project Management Office and Enterprise Architect during requirement analysis to develop technical solution options.
Task 8. Provide OIG management proposed configurations, optimizations, and system improvement plans.
Task 9. Work closely with the OIG Project Management Office to establish and meet project milestones and deliverables. Ensure all solutions meet documented customer requirements and are within project scope.
Task 10. Follow all OIG Change Management and Engineering Review processes. Ensure changes are completed according to the project and/or release manager schedule.
Task 11. Work as part of a project team to engineer and develop migration plans for existing services ensuring minimal service interruption.
Task 12. Engineer and design hardware solutions to ensure capacity and availability of OIG services.
Task 13. Engineering, deployment and management of network performance monitoring tools.
Task 14. Assist with the design, provisioning and deployment of network automation.
